Description

This Prairie style table lamp is made of hand selected solid quarter sawn white oak, and uses genuine mica in the shade. The joinery of this lamp draws on a variety of joinery methods including the very sturdy blind mortise, and tennon, the miter joint, the lap joints, the edge joint, the dado joint, the groover joint, the tongue and groove joint, and the dowel pin and screw joint for strength and form. As a Lighting Designer of several years, I have to tell you folks that these lamps are a pleasure to make, and took a long time to perfect. The amber shade over rich caramel colored oak base gives a warm glow to any room. The electrical fixture is a newly made genuine Edison solid brass UL approved dual cluster, and it has very smooth action of the pull-chains. The lamp is made and signed by Ragsdale Home Furnishings, and is a new creation in the arts & crafts style. By themselves, or by the pair they make a statement that compliments any mission style setting. The lamp stands 26″ high, and measures 18″ x 24.5″ at the shade, and has nice proportion. The measurement from the table top to the bottom of the shade is 21 inches.
