8×8 Prairie Butterfly – Green

Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is recognized worldwide as one of the greatest architects of the 20th century.

In 1902 the heiress and social activist Susan Lawrence Dana commissioned Frank Lloyd Wright to perform a complete remodel of her family’s home. A sophisticated integration of architecture, furnishings and decorative arts, The Dana-Thomas House creates a unified statement of the Prairie School aesthetic. It is home to the largest collection of site-specific, original Wright objects, including Wright’s iconic art glass Butterfly Chandeliers. Reimagined from an aerial view in 8×8-inch ceramic tile, Prairie Butterfly captures the soft glow that emanates from the chandeliers in this grand space.
